Upgrading a bike with a bigger engine?

Question:
I have a 2007 Vstar 650 custom. When i finish paying it off here in a couple years I plan on customizing it with a newer, bigger engine and new forks and handlebars and other things. Is there a limit to how much bigger of an engine you can stick on this kind of bike and stay in the frame of the stock bike? How much would a 1000-1300 engine cost and how much would it cost to pay someone to do it and who would i find to do this?

I have a 1999 CR 125 if I buy a 2000 model rear wheel can I put 1999 bearings in it and put it on my bike?

While new handlebars and longer forks may be easy enough to do on your 650 V-Star, a larger engine is a totally different animal... Most motorcycles are designed so the engine/transmission assembly has a fairly tight fit in the frame. In fact, on some motorcycles, the engine is an integral, structural part of the frame. Your V-star, with its shaft drive, also brings the rear drive and suspension into consideration when looking to modify the bike with a bigger engine.

Gs1100 carbs on a gs750?

Long story short... almost the entire motorcycle would have to be re-engineered and rebuilt in order to fit a physically larger engine into your V-Star 650's frame. It just isn't worth the bother. In a few years time, when you're ready for a larger motorcycle, it would be much cheaper and much easier to just trade in your current bike for a new, larger one of your choice.

How to do burnouts on my pulsar ?

Although the idea sounds good, it's not a good idea. First of all you may not be able to put a larger engine in that frame. Then there might be a problem matching up the transmission. Besides the cost of the engine and other components, the value of the bike won't improve. When you add the cost of someone installing the larger engine and extending the forks, you'd do a lot better just selling this bike or trading it in on another. After all, once a few years goes by, you might find that you no longer even want that bike, but another brand entirely. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about what you might do 2 or 3 years down the road. Instead, learn to ride, enjoy the ride, get experience in riding, and check out other peoples bikes, on the rides that you go on. You may find another brand that you desire even more than the one you have now. Good luck.
