If I road a 1983 GS 1100 E (power power power!) am I going to be happy on a modern day (2001) ZX6, or GS6 ? I can't test ride the bike to see. I'm thinking I will see a hudge power difference, even though my bike was an 83 ----??

I did some research and found out that an '83 GS1100E puts out about 103hp at the rear wheel, which is about what you will get out of a newer 600cc. In addition the 600cc is around 150lbs lighter. It is entirely possible that the 600cc will be faster and more powerful than your '83 gs1100. An '03 gsxr 600 will top out at around 150mph stock.Uk standards vs usa's standards?
