Actually, it would probably be easier with less legal headaches to convert an already EPA, DOT, street legal motorcycle into a quad. They already have bolt on kits to convert many bikes into trikes, some of them are dual wheeled front ends. With a little ingenuity someone could add a dual front set up to a trike conversion and have a quad. However, I imagine even that would raise alot of eyebrows.There was a guy from a small town in MA who registered a Honda ATC 250, he too reasoned all I have to do is add some equipment. It worked till the first registry cop saw him then it was over except for the big azz fine.

Can't do it in the States. There isn't a quad built currently that can meet the requirements for road use. It would require the vehicle to be able to do a certain minimum speed, have the headlights that shine a particular distance, brake lights, turn signals, and approved muffler, and most important, a manufacturer that will produce one. Won't happen, because there isn't a demand. It would be easier to build a "kit car" and make it look like a quad, but then what would be the purpose in that?More Questions & Answers ...
