What is your guess on the value of a '81 Yamaha XT250?

once a mc tire gets a hole in it for any reason, it's scrap. mc tires flex more and is under alot different stresses than car tires. dont even try to get this repaired. when that patch goes south, down u go. be safe, replace the tire.

Don't take the risk, replace it, especially if the hole is in the sidewall.

Can anyone tell me where I can find suzuki gs125 spares?

it can cause the tyre to rip apart especially if you go fast and it won't be a pretty result at 80mph on the M25. Get it sorted

Where can i get kawasaki f7 motorcycle parts at? It is 35 years old.?

Don't risk it get new tyre i saw 2 dead motorcyclists last week don't risk it or you could be next. I know that they can be expensive but your life is worth the money for a new tyre. your tyre could have a blow out at any time which is dangerous enough for a car let alone a bike.

Im 14 years old soon to be 15, will a honda CR125 or a Yamaha YZ125 be a good bike to start out with?

please dont try to repair it. you only have two wheels between you and the pavement. If any money is spent on your bike it should be for safe tires. Buy a new one. Your life is worth it.

Dont be an idiot, its bad enough riding round on two wheels but you want to use a faulty one as well..?

2004 Kymco ZX50 de-restriction?

If the sidewall was punctured or gouged, there's nothing you can do except replace the "tyre" [ I love the way you U.K. and E.U. folks spell stuff] :) Now if it was in the tread, especially more twoard the center of the tread, depends how deep it went and whether it was a puncture or a cut, two different things. A puncture, you can keep on riding and just check the pressure every so often until you are sure it did not pierce the ply layers. A cut, I would only ride it if it did not extend beyond the depth of the tread blocks. If any layers of the plys were cut, go ahead and get new one since the plys can begin to separate.

How do i reset the computer on a kawasaki 650 prairie 4wheeler?

A simple puncture (nail hole) in the tread CAN be repaired with either a patch or plug, though most places will refuse to do it out of liability concern. I have personally ridden on tires (notice the U.S. spelling) that had two or three separate plugs in them and rode them for almost 10 thousand miles.

Looking for a new bike.. I like the V-Star and the Boulevard m-50.. which one should I buy and why?

I do this out of basic necessity and money issues. I am a motorcop in Texas and we personally own our motorcycles. We put so many small holes in the tires from driving on the shoulder of freeways that to replace one every single time would get VERY expensive. 10 thousand miles goes by in about 2 1/2 to 3 months, so we already buy tires more regularly than the average guy on his good time bike would.

Is a Yamaha DT 2-stroke or 4-stroke?

I added that last part just to let you know why I ride with plugs when it goes against everything any motorcycle shop or safety guy will tell you. It can be done, but you have to be realistic with what holes you fix and which ones are beyond repair.

It's better to have a small hole in your POCKET ( from buying a new tyre) Than having a BIG hole in your head from when the (I'll take a "chance") tyre repair didn't work - Oh! and I could just be the one coming the other way. when it BLOWS!

HARLEY OWNERS: Softail or Dyna??

I have just had a Bridgestone bike tyre plugged after a puncture in the centre of the tread. Fitter was a bit dubious but the rules seem to change every few months! Bottom line is that for £10 I have a repaired puncture and will not have cough up over £120 for a new tyre

What kind of discounts can you get from taking the MSF Riding Course?

If the hole is in the middle of the tyre and not in the side wall it is possible to get it repaired.
HOWEVER don't do this, buy a new tyre. It's a lot cheaper than having a blow out at speed with the resulting death/injury.

i wouldnt risk driving a bike with a tyre like that. dont forget youre on two wheels. if the one you had repaired blows cause you couldnt be bothered replacing it youre screwed. if its a small puncture wound like a small little roundy hole it might be repairable. but a cut or a slash no way. dont risk it just replace it.
