Yes they do but very few folks are riding them. I was at a qualifier for the National championship at Loretta Lynn's a couple weeks back and there were maybe 2 or 3 250's in the entire field of 40 or so bikes. The AMA did up the displacement to 144 in the lites class. I'm curious to see if they will ever increase the displacement for the MX/SX/AX classes as well. None of the factory teams teams use 2 strokes anymore, except for the GNCC guys.

Yep. The rule makers understand that it takes double or almost double the displacement for a four stroke to be competitive with a 2 stroke.

Yes, it's allowed but the 2 strokes arent competetive anymore. Either the 4 strokes are superior, or they just stopped developing the 2 stroke due to emmissions regulations
