Which motorcycle would be the best for me?

Question:
Im 18, and tall, and im looking for a sports bike it will also be my first bike im deciding between a
Suzuki GAX-R600 or a Katana 600
What do you guys think?

Answers:

With a learners permit for motorcycle in PA, what are you allowed to do?

u will regret getting a sport bike period. i'm also on the tall side, and the seating position for us 'tall boys' suck. these bikes dont travel very well. after 80 miles give or take, u'll want to get off.
have u even sat on these bikes yet? take a good hard look at how u sit on it. almost all ur weight is on ur forearms, and ur sitting slightly forward. that bike will wear u out way before the tank runs dry.

Which Royal Enfield Diesel Motorbike really gets 87 mpg?

zuki will kill u rookie..u cant handle a race type bike yet. 1 mistake, and it will get u seriously hurt. u cant make a mistake on a zuki, it isnt forgiving. the 'tana will be slightly forgiving, but will have more than enough power to get a rookie in deep kimchee if u dont respect the bike. and insurance on either bike at ur age will be extremely high. they will look at it this way: 600cc sport bike, 18 yr old single male..very high risk of riding reckless. u might ride sane, but other 18 yr olds have already sealed ur fate by being a dumbazz and dumpin the bike hard.

How to import motorcycles without EPA certification?

u'd be better off on a cruiser till ur 25. insurance might look more favorably on it than a sport bike.but ur still going to have high rates reguardless until after 25.

if it's your first bike, take a motorcycle safety course first.
it's about $250 but it's well worth it.

you might want to look at Honda and Kawasaki too.

An 1985 HONDA SABRE 750CC?

gsx-r,they r way more sporty and a bit faster, but look into a honda cbr 600rr ive had mine since 2004 and love it or a honda f4i, the f4i to the 600rr is like the katana is to the gsx-r

If I were to go around town in my scooter and park it, whos to say someone wont just grab it??

My personal opinion is you should pick up a Yamaha R6. I actually was 18 when I bought my first bike, and I never regretted buying that Yamaha. Smooth around corners, yet very fast, the R6 is also very " Tall people friendly ".

Which is th best motor bike in india which is more tha 150cc?

Just know with that much bike as your first one you may not make 19... you might want to start with something a little more tame... say a Kawi Ninja 500. If you are still here after a year on that then move up.. Be careful out there.

Motorcycle boots...?

Neither, although of these two I would recommend the Katana.

I have a 110 scooter,what color is best suited.what do u think is a good color?

Your typical 600 is around 100 hp (the Katana is a bit less, as it's an older air-cooled design) and basically a race bike detuned just enough that they can make it street legal. These aren't the easiest bikes to learn on. I would recommend going with one in the 500 cc or under class instead. These'll still keep up with highway traffic and be a lot of fun to ride, but they're a lot more forgiving and predictable.

Why is it I cant seem to start my ATV? It starts after the shop but not when I get it home a few days later?

I've been riding sport bikes for well over 10 years and my advice is to go speak with your insurance company before you get your hopes up on any bike. The GSXR600 and Katana are in two different classes and the insurance will be a lot higher on the GSXR. I've found that State Farm has the best rates on bikes because they classify them by there size and not so much the type. The cheapest I've had was $50 a year on a 2000 Suzuki SV-650 while the most expensive I've had is on my current 2000 HD Sportster 1200 Sport at $500 a year. I've also owned '04 Honda CBR600RR, '01 Suzuki GSXR1000, '97 Suzuki TL1000S, '94 Honda Nighthawk 750 and currently have a '98 Suzuki GSXR750 as a track only bike.

Whats the best kind of bike to buy?

I hope you listen to these guys. I know, "y'all don't understand, I'm 18 and I know better!" Well, i see guys (and gals) on your list with way more experience than you will ever have and it is all true. Take a class, buy something tame first, buy and old bike (what we call a "lay down" bike) first, save up for insurance, and don't ride anywhere close to your friends. Or you can make arrangements at your local funeral home.

Am I too young?

Good Luck,

Why did Yamaha stop making the TRX 850??

Go for a drivers course first please, my starter bike was only a 100cc Yamaha and I did everything wrong, zipping between cars, passing on the wrong side, etc. Thirteen stitches in the face and and a leg scar to prove it! Get your mindset right first.

Looking for joe rocket pants leather or textile need 38/34?

Here in PA they offer free motorcycle safety course and provide motorcycles for the course, They are 250's and most of them are Honda Shadows. These are good training cycles and are not very expensive. However, if this will be your first bike buy used and pay cash, get the experience of riding before moving up to bigger and more expensive bikes. I have had friends who bought big bikes like Goldwings and rode only a few times then selling them at a loss because they weren't ready for a big bike. Nothing wrong with starting small and working up to bigger later on. In fact the smaller bike will normally sell quicker when you are ready to move up, then use the money for your next bike.

Are Honda motorcycles and ATVs cool? Or will I get razzed if I buy one...?
