What is a good beginner's motorcycle?

Question:
I am going to be learning how to ride this summer, and I was curious so I started looking at motorcycles... I don't know all that much about them to be honest, and I'm not sure what a beginner should be looking for. I also don't want to buy a bike and then outgrow it in a year, I want something that I can grow into as my experience grows. Also, I am on a tight budget and would want a bike that could be found for under 4,500$ or so... preferably much under that :-) Any suggestions?

What is the address of bike modifier in mumbai?

Here in PA they offer free motorcycle safety course and provide motorcycles for the course, They are 250's and most of them are Honda Shadows. These are good training cycles and are not very expensive. However, if this will be your first bike buy used and pay cash, get the experience of riding before moving up to bigger and more expensive bikes. I have had friends who bought big bikes like Goldwings and rode only a few times then selling them at a loss because they weren't ready for a big bike. Nothing wrong with starting small and working up to bigger later on. In fact the smaller bike will normally sell quicker when you are ready to move up, then use the money for your next bike.

I am not going to lie to you. You need to get 2 bikes.. or have full coverage on your bike and have the money to pay for the insurance hike. Your first bike you get all the basics down on like how to lean into corners and all that jazz. It should be a littler bike that handles well but doesn't have too much power. A 250 if you are looking at crotch rockets, like a 250 to a 600 for traditional. Make sure when you are sitting on it that both of your feet can rest flat on the ground (this causes a lot of damage to motorcycles) Then after a few months or years depending on how often you ride you can get a sweet bike that can last you for a life time. A good starter bike is a late 80's honda. They are usually pretty cheap and should set you back about a grand or less unless somebody doesn't realize their motorcycle they are trying to sell you is 20 years old.

Honda XR600R ...Help..!!!?

I'm so glad my husband convinced me to find the bike I wanted then learn on it. I am a small woman and I tried all bikes out there before deciding on the yamaha V-star 1100. I was worried it would be too large for me and was intimidated at first but before the year was up I was keeping up with the big boys. I like that it is easy to work on, doesnt need a lot of maintenance and really hugs the curves good. You wont have to mortgage the house to buy it either. Had I gotten a smaller bike I would have been miserable. I can go anywhere on my bike in comfort. Problem is, they are such a popular bike and you wont find too many for sale in the trader like other models of bikes, when you ride one you dont want to give it up. And later if you decide to customize it, there are many aftermarket products out there and several companies cater specifically to the vstar. Check out PACIFIC COAST STAR and you will see what I mean. You wont be disapointed in this bike. Good luck and hope to see you on the road.!

Even though you don't want to do it this way, you probably want to get an older beater for a starter bike, learn how to ride, and then, when you are comfortable with your skills, get the bike you really want. Many folks outgrow the bike they start out with pretty quickly. A 10 year old bike with 10,000 (maintained) miles on it is a pretty good start.

1981 suzuki pe 400?

The kind of beginner bike you get will depend on the kind of riding you want to do. If you are unsure of this, a bike with "standard" ergos is best. This means a bike with the pegs underneath your feet (not behind you, or in front of you), and handle bars that you don't have to reach up or down for. Get a bike in the 125 - 500cc range to start - this depends somewhat on your size. Make sure you comfortably can touch the ground. I often recommend to folks a Honda Nightwawk, Kawasaki Ninja 250, or a Suzuki EX500 as a good starter ride. Now, for a cruiser, you might try one of the Japanese 650cc models to begin, since they have less horsepower.

Some of the best street riders I know started out on dirt bikes. Riding dirt bikes get you used to the feel of the bike when it starts "behaving badly", washing out in the front, or sliding around in the rear, and learning how to handle bringing it back under control. Other good ways to get your "sea legs" are to take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, or one of the other schools around. Read up on motorcycle safety as much as you can.

1. It should be around 50 hp or less. As a general rule, most sport bikes in the 500 cc and under range meet this rule, while cruisers and other bikes can be a bit bigger.

If you follow these rules and get a bike from a reputable manufacturer, you should have a good bike for learning on. There's no one bike that I'd say is perfect for all beginners. I ride a Suzuki GS500F myself, and it's pretty beginner friendly, but some beginners may find it the wrong style or uncomfortable.
