was riding my 2002 Honda XR100, and the chain fell off and then i got the chain back on and when I tried to start it, it didn't work!, so first off I assumed i had flooded it some how. I waited an hour, tried to start again, no luck, checked the spark plug, looked okay, tried grounding it to my motor, kicked the starter, NO SPARK! So i figured the spark plug was toast, I went and got a new spark plug, and it didn't work either, checked for a spark, NO SPARK! so there is no spark... kill switch is fine also, no frayed wires. HELP!

You'll most likely need to replace that case half, plus you'll probably find some shrapnel in the electrical components behind the cover (that's why there's no spark).Any one know where i can view colour charts (want to paint my bike) online .cant find one anywhere?

Keep in mind that cases are machined in pairs, and there is a possibility of alignment and gasket problems when you just replace one side - although with a newer model like yours, it's less likely.
If you plan on doing the work yourself, I'd grab a good shop manual, the Honda one http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp... always seems to be slightly more complete than the Clymer (http://www.themotorbookstore.com/xl19.ht... ), but it's your choice.

This engine is relatively easy to disassemble and reassemble. If you have any small-engine repair experience, it'll be pretty basic.
When the chain fell off, it might have broken or disconnected the pick-up coil. Check the wires coming out of the left crankcase cover .

Do what ducatisti said. Remove the cover and clean every thing out.

Look at the "Alternator" picture.
Bolt #4 holds the "pick up coil".
Remove it and clean the pick up (it points to the flywheel).
Clean the protursion on the flywheel.
You can try to start the bike with the cover off.
If you see any damage on the the pick up coil, if it's damaged in anyway (dents, scratches) - change it.
You'll have to buy the complete stator.
