Question:
I am thinking of getting a scooter but I don't know much about them. I want something with enough power to double someone and do at least 60km/h. I also would like something durable and fuel efficent. I don't want a motorcycle as the more speed I have the more likely I am to use it.

Starting off riding dirt bikes?
60 km/h is barely close to 40 mph. in that case, a honda helix would fit the bill. but there's a problem with small scooters even tho they get exceptionally good mileage: the small tires are a hazard to the unwary. they make abrupt manuvers like swerving dangerous, and i've personally have seen them go down executing a swerve manuver at a rather slow speed of 32 km/h.which is only 20 mph.How do I legally ride a 49cc moped in Spain?
if u really want to ride 2-up, u need a actual motorcycle. trying to ride 2 up on a 50cc scooter is hazardous at best. the scooter would be seriously underpowered for this, and god help u if some1 pulls out in front of u. for 2-up, u need at the very least, a 750cc cruiser. actually, a 1200cc would be better. they would have the power needed for 2-up, the brakes would be more reliable, and the tires would easily be able to handle the weight, and if u have to, u'd be able to do emergency manuvers alot safer with a full sized bike. unless the scooter is a silverwing, it would be unadviseable to attempt to ride 2 up on a scooter. full sized bikes are made for 2 up.
I have Kawasaki zx6r 1999.clutch help needed.?
what u really need is a cruiser. u dont want a crotch rocket, and a ninja is just that..a crotch rocket. a cruiser wont have the extreme pickup like a rocket will....and unless u mod the chit out of a cruiser's engine, it wont have the guts to stand a 500+ pound cruiser on the back wheel.
1975 Suzuki ts250 jumps and stalls going into gear...?
bottom line is this: if u decide to ride 2-up, u are totally responsible for the 1 on the back. be safe, dont try to ride 2-up on a machine that just doesnt have enough power or weight to handle the load. if u go down, she goes down. and i dont think she would be very happy after that.

Aprillia RS50 is the best scooter you can find.Anyone been to www.kinroad.org? kinroad?
1. Honda is the most reliable -- by far. Vespas are cool, but unless you date a mechanic, stay away.2. A small motorcycle (like a 250 Honda Nighthawk or Yamaha 225) is safer than a scooter because it has large wheels and better brakes & suspension.
3. ALWAYS wear a helmet.

What do you think of the Honda CBR 600RR for begginer rider?
Scooter or motorcycles alike nowadays come in different engine sizes. It's a matter of you making up your mind. However, you can buy a decent bike with enough power to even ride it in the freeway, but only you have the power to control your own speed. You must be concious, a safe rider who uses common sense and smart enough to know that there are rules on the street which apply to all drivers. My car can run at 100mph, but really I don't go crazy on a 35mph zone. I also own a shadow 750 and again I respect the speed limit, at the most on a 35 zone I would do 40 and only when I know is safe. How do change an air filter element on an 1974 850cc Norton?
I would go with 150cc or more.I've rode a 50cc and a 90cc.
the 50 wouldn't go over 30mph with just me, and the 90 would only do about 40 with 2 people.
It might be they were used, but I would still go with the 150 just to be safe , and I'm sure you wouldn't get too much speed out of a 150.
Can i put a motorcycle engine in a go kart?
Man, if you were here in the Philippines i'd have given you so much makes and models you wouldn't know where to begin asking. But if you have the Honda XRM 110cc over there, I suggest you get it. Here in the Philippines we go crazy with customizing our scooter's or as we call it "Underbones". We put in speakers, neon lights, we drop that ****, put some "skirts", change everything! ill show you a pic of one of our bikes here in the Philippines. I take it you are not from the USA. (...at lest 60/km/h.) Most people seem to be satisfied with 250cc size engine in a maxi-scooter or small motorcycle. Most scooters are automatics and step through and most motorcycles manual swing your leg over. I do not know if these suggestions are available in your area. motorcycles: look at the Honda Rebel or Kawasaki Ninja 250R. With front disk and rear disk breaks, six gears, and liquid cooling and a lower price in the USA . IMHO the Ninja 250 represents a greater value. The Honda Rebel is an easy to fix/maintain air cooled bike with a huge and helpful on-line club-forums. Personally its a tie. I dislike fairings and the liquid cooling adds more complexity for the causal home motorcycle mechanic. If I have a bike that is 110cc, is that legal if you are under 16?

Motercycle aeriel arrow colt 200cc any info?
as for scooters. Vaspa has the Vespa GTS with a 250 cc engine. It has the classic vaspa look. The Suzuki Burgman 400 looks up to date with a nice wind protection and can easily keep up at hiway speeds. Piaggio BV500 looks stylish and cruse also cruse at 70 or 80 mph. For an exotic flavor there is the Piaggio mp3. the Honda helix is nice and many owners are happy with their honda scooters. The upside of scooters is they offer more storage then a motorcycle in stock form. Most scooters are automatics. The down side is in many scooters, the engine is also the rear wheel swing arm, making engine work difficult.
