Question:
The manual calls for SAE 30 oil. Can I use regular SAE 30 engine oil like for a car or does it have to be SAE 30 transmission oil. Keep in mind this is a two stroke. Experience with this would be very helpful, I don't want to screw this thing up.

SAE 30 WT. Car oil works, for the transmission.Use only two stroke oil for the gas tank. What laws would riders like to see passed for auto drivers?
Engine oil has detergents in it, and should ONLY be used in engines. If it calls for 30wt, go with 30wt (non-detergent)
Anyone selling a cheap scooter/moped in dundee?
If you are talking about a two cycle the oil mixes with the gas.How many miles do you get to a tank on your sport bike?
Regular car oil is fine. 10W30 will work OK if you don't have 30. 4 cycle engines use regular oil in their transmissions. The only difference with yours is that it doesn't reach the crankcase. Don't listen to the dimwit who says not to use detergent oil.More Questions & Answers ...
