End of the Autumn / Just as new models are being launched. Don't buy next year's model, it will only have a different paint scheme and will not be noticably different from this year's. Don't buy in haste, play dealers off against each other. If buying privately, take cash but at least 15% less than the asking price so that you don't end up paying the full amount through over eagerness. Generally the end of riding season in your area. I've noticed that lately the bikes are still up there in prices. I suspect it's because of the gas prices. You can still find some good deals though. Right now is a great time of year to buy one. With winter coming, people sell their bikes after the summer since a lot of people can't drive them during the winter months.Around the 1st of dec, people need x-mas cash and u can make some good deals.from dealers get last years model at close out price.

I have been in the car business a long time and I will tell you this, the end of every month dealers are more likely to make a better deal(to meet certain goals) at the end of the calender year is also a good time because they are trying to reach even bigger goals, but the thing that people dont think about is the best time to buy a vehicle is in the months of august thru october, that is when most manufacturers are putting out the next years models and dealers really want to get rid of current year models (normally when big rebates are put on current year models but pulled shortly after so if you dont buy a current year model vehicle in that time frame you lose all of the rebates!). we dont get new models at the beging of a calender year... it's when the new models come out. again this is almost always in the months of august thru october.can i know the mileage of new glamour from hero honda?
You are correct. End of summer, or mid winter, while they are doing nothing more than taking up space in someone's garage. Also, make certain you look in rich neighborhoods.... Those rich pu**ys buy bikes, drop them and get all scared and want to sell them for less than they are worth. Ive gotten three bikes that way! All for $1000 - 500 less than Blue Book. The only thing the rich are good for.....Is the 2005 and up Triumph Speed Triple a good bike?
spring is also great. a lot of people r selling old 2 buy new. bought both mine in spring & got great dealsProbably Fall or during the Winter, if you live where it gets chilly...a lot of folks don't care to ride when the temperature drops and, like with boats, will sell their bike rather than have to maintain it through the winter and not use it (especially if they are making payments on it).

Seems like I'm stuck after work, in the dark, on a cold night, trying to figure out if this 'deal' is worth it or not.
Best time for me is fall - for our area it's late September to early October. Folks who have had a bike for sale all summer get desperate, but the weather is still nice enough for a real test ride, and it stays light enough in the evening to get a good look at the beast.
Also, by this time of year, many of the nice bikes have been taken off the market, and the owners figure they'll just re-list in spring.

Of course, there's always exceptions to any rule. The best time to buy a bike is really when you find the right bike for the right price, no matter what time of year!
