You can pick up a Clymer or Haynes manual for under $30 ,there are hose routing diagrams in there.
As far as the oil pump usually the highest up nipple is the breather middle is the main into pump, lowest is the return..
I have no clue as to what oil tank you're using, but if you look on the inside of the tank there are little stand pipes, The shortest is feed to pump, the medium height is the return and the tallest is the breather.
The filter connects between the tank and the pump on the return line.
Again I suggest a manual ,a picture( Diagram) speaks a thousand words.
