if he's staying in touch it would appear legit, cos he knows you wont pay till you get the bike so if it was a scam he would have scarpered with half the money, if he knew you wouldnt recieve the bikeHow to stop noisy bikers on streets even at midnight?
Go and find the website for the company that the seller has told you is shipping the goods, and email them with the trtacking number, then you'll know! What is a good motorcycle to start out learning on?
I wouldn't do it. This is often a major way to scam people on Ebay. Often the bike will seem like a great deal, but it will never arrive. You could contact Ebay to assure you are ensured for such a transaction, but in the end it might still be erroneous.First of all, ask yourself, "Is the bike really a bargain?" If it seems like too good a deal, you are likely about to be scammed. If not, then why by overseas in the first place?
There are plenty of great bikes all over the US, and it is less likely you will be scammed. Also look to see how many transactions (if on Ebay) the person has. If it is quite low (less than 100) I would be concerned.
If it is not on a great site like Ebay without insurance against getting burned, or if the seller does not use Paypal, then forget it.

Trustworthy motocycle classified sites?
Well first I would want to know which shipping company he/she is using.I have imported a bike for the USA myself and It was a pain. I would think twice about doing it again.
You will have to pay customs duties on the cost of the bike and the cost of the shipping as well it's a complete rip off before it will be released from the port.
