Turn off the petcock
Remove the fuel tank
Remove the fuel lines (mark which line goes to which tube on the fuel pump with a magic marker).
Unplug the wires
Unbolt the fuel pump
Bolt on the new fuel pump
Plug in the wires
Attach the fuel lines
Install the fuel tank
Turn on the petcock
If you can't do something that simple, you shouldn't be working on it. Buy a shop manual
