I cancelled Insurance on it because I sold it and was waiting for the guy to come pick it up the next day and I still owed $18,000.00 on it.
Now what do I do?

To protect yourself next time you sell a bike or car, don't cancell the insurance until you have the money in hand. Any one who takes a bike for a spin get their name and address etc.

First off, your homeowners will not cover it if the damage occurred elsewhere.I'd say your only chance of being covered is to do some "game playing" as far as the dates of cancellation vs. loss.

My thinking being, You could tell the insurance company you requested the policy be canceled "At The End Of The Month" ( wink , wink , nudge ,nudge,) rather than immediately. Or something like that.
