I'd imagine you already checked the spark plugs? First thing to do is a quick tune-up and be sure it isn't something simple. I'm not sure if Bikes are going the "computer" route like auto's but when that happened to my husbands truck, the computer just needed to be reset at the dealership. If all else fails, call the mechanic.
Do kick starts on dirtbikes break easily?
For any problem, follow the source and take the least amount of action needed. First take off the spark plug wire, and look at the inside of it while trying to start the engine, to see if you get a spark. May have to put a metal object in it. The next step would be checking the spark plug. remove it, clean it and then check the gap, to the specs of the manual. If that is OK, then it is most likely a fuel problem. Disconnect the fuel line and check to make sure that there is an even flow. Beyond that, it time to call the mechanics in.Can I upgrade to a fatter wheel on a Lifan LF200 motorcycle??
Change the spark plug, and if that doesn't work, change the plug wire. If that doesn't work, The problem is probably in your distributor or distributor cap. Take it to a shop and have them take a look at it. If you don't know which cylinder is not firing, take it to a shop, ask them what's wrong with it.Which is better for a motorcycle, flat black paint or an acrylic black paint and why?
If you're getting spark, the cylinder isn't getting fuel. Check the carb float bowl (there's a little drain screw: undo it a few turns and see if fuel comes out).If the coils are both working, you have an (unusual) CDI problem: you'll have to replace the 'black box' that controls the ignition: a fairly expensive proposition.
What makes a motorcycle difficult for begginer riders?
I had an '83 920 Virago. Great bike. I had electrical problems, like missing and it was the IC Igniter box. It cost a couple of hundred to replace at my mechanics.Where is the battery usually located on a motorcycle?
Hi. I had an XV920RH and had the same problem. Two things to check. The rubber that connects the carbs to the head can fail and make a very lean mixture. There is a tube that runs under the tank from the carb vacuum chamber (at the top) to a vent. Sometimes a spider or other bug will build a home there and prevent the carb slide from moving. Good luck!Need to know good aftermarket Slip on pipes for Honda 400ex?
Virago 700 here. Another thing to check is the oil level. In my motorcycle, if the oil is too high, I get only one cylinder working. The oil level has to be between the two marks in the window.Well, ignition is not problem then it must be the fuel.. If it runs on one cylinder. it must be in the line that provides the fuel and that is between the tank and the cylinder. petcock, filter, line and anything in the line.g'luck
