I need Immediate help. Problems with a1998 Honda CR125?

Question:
I recently bought two 1998 Honda CR125's that need a little work on them.
The first one needed clutch work. I replaced the plates and I was wondering what type of oil to put back in there. I am not worried about the brand just what type, weight etc.
On the other bike the kickstart is locked up, it doesnt go down. I tried push starting it but the wheel just locked up. I took the clutch cover off and and started taking the clutch out to see if I could see what was wrong inside there. After I got the plates out I noticed that the kickstart moved freely. I decided to put it back together see if it still turned freely and it did. What would be the problem to cause this? After I kick it a few times do you think the problem will comeback?

Answers:

Does anyone have one of the newer pit bikes such as "sikk"?

something got stuck in the ratchet gear for that to happen. or the shaft is a little worn or there is a lot of play with that kick shaft. Check "bushing" or how it's slotted. Sounds like u got it though. Most kicks have a return spring , that can get jammed too.

Big problem.. Is it gonna be bad!?

Just put 30 weight oil in it (Not 90wt)to the fill level and turn it over. Make sure the jets in the carb are clean check for a spark put gas in and attempt to start. These bikes are fairly simple don't more out of them than they are. After setting for a while they gum up and get sticky with a little cleaning and care Hondas run forever.
