Absolutely. I would recommend a Yamaha R6 maybe a 2002 or 03. These bikes are usually around $4500. Another good model is the Suzuki GSX-R600. It will also be around the same price. If you want the best looks and performance i would recommend the R6. Yamaha is the best. I am looking at purchasing a Yamaha R1 this spring and trade in my '99 GSX-R600. It all depends on who you are, what kind of experience you have, and what you want to do with it. I'll assume that you are thinking about the 600 class big four Japanese sport bikes. In general, the F3 and the Gixxer tend to be at opposite ends of the spectrum. The F3 has more of an upright riding position and a tamer power delivery. I find the handlebars to be a little narrower than I like. The Gixxer is more cramped (which could be an issue of you are tall) and has a more aggresive riding position. It feels like your butt is way up in the air while you are riding it. It's also a little jerky with it's power band, but it's good for racing. The other two are somewhere in-between, although I've heard that the ZX-6 is roomier for taller riders (although I've never ridden one my self). Basically it all depends on what you are comfortable on. Just take a few for a test ride and feel them out. You can't really beat the Hondas in terms of usability on the street. Another option that you might consider is the SV-650. It is a V-twin instead of an inline four so it has a ton of low end torque (which I find more useable and fun than top end speed). They are a little silly looking stock but if you slap a set of sharkskinz fairings on them they look as mean as any literbike out there.where can i find a 1970"s model husqvarna 250 cc dirt bike Carburetor?

You might be able to get a small displacement bike for under 5,000 dollars. If you want a bigger displacement bike for under 5,000 dollars then it's going to be a used one.I say save more and by a new Yamaha R1..
