Can any one help me figure out the model of a suzuki lt230 i bought?
Hold the left handlebar with your left hand. There should be a grab bar or such close to the left rear side of your(the bikes) seat. Grab it with your right hand. Place your left foot on the center stand stub. Once you have lowered it to the ground(both sides contact level) APPLY DOWNWARD PRESSURE WITH YOUR LEFT or right whichever will give YOU the best balance(I admit to editing this answer because I agree with others that the right foot is also commonly used. I think it depends on the bike) FOOT ON THE STUB WHILE LIFTING ON THE BAR WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND. I capitalized that because that's the part you need to syncronize to raise a "heavy" bike on to it's stand. It's just like riding. a matter of balance and practice. You'll get it. I hope this helps.K&N Pods, Kuryakan Hypercharger, or Baron BAK, which is the better performance upgrade?

What are pitbikes desighned for.?
This is much better demonstrated than explained. Go to your local BMW shop and ask a salesman or mechanic to show you. BMWs all have centrestands and people who work around them are always very good at putting them up!How do you know what seat height to get with an off road motorcycle?
But to explain it: put your right foot on the centrestand as you would if putting down the sidestand. Stand on it firmly. Have your right hand under the lifting handle. Now, push the bike away from you gently, until the centrestand rests on both 'feet'. The pressure through your foot will stop it falling.
Now, using leg power mainly, push DOWN through your foot and pull UP with your right hand. Forget about the backward motion: it's like pulling up on an elastic band that's held down by your foot. Remember, with your foot on the centrestand, the bike can't fall.

Do as all said above. But first place a 2x4 block under the rear tire. It makes it alot easier.More Questions & Answers ...
