I drive a 2001 V Star 1100 custom and regularly ride with myself and a single passenger. If you mean can it hold yourself and TWO passengers I would say that would not be safe as there is not enough room on the bike for 3 people...Witch motorcycle do you guys feel is better?
The 2001 V Star 1100 Users guide states "The total weight of the operator, passenger, accessories, and cargo must not exceed the load limit of 200Kg (441 Lb.)"

If your speaking of a V Star 650 Custom maximum weights and value will be lower but I do not know exactly what they would be.
The V-Star Custom will hold 2 people, assuming you do not get the rear rack in place of the seat.
Price on one would be MSRP of $8,499 for an 1100 or $5,799 for a 650. You might be albe to get the dealer down from that, but that is where ur skills in negotiating come in.
I have an 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan Mean streak1600cc, I still want more pick up from it . Any ideas?
Total price would be MSRP + Tax, Title, Fees, etc... so be expecting about 15% (minimum) extra for those...
