Are you ready to drive out there?The major airlines have a service whereby they accept unaccompanied minors (they call them UMs). They monitor their whereabouts constantly and will only release custody of the UM to a person designated by whoever bought the ticket. The person who meets the UM must prove their identification to the airline personnel. I assure you that it is quite safe. I have been impressed in the past by the care that the airlines take of the UMs.
