Question:
I am a female who loves trains, especially elevated/subway trains. I'm wondering if I'm the only woman that does, or what. Not knowing of any others, makes me feel like an outcast. In fact, I've even applied to be a motorman(Combined Rail Operator), for the Chicago Transit Authority!
Answers:
In the USA,why has the Caboose been taken off trains like Burlington Nothern trains and the like?
You are definitely not alone as a female railfan, but you are in an extreme minority.Where can I get info about taking a train from Indy to Chicago?
However, be positive. Several weeks ago, I had my picture taken by a female fan, and I was quite surprised. Well dressed (no sweat pants, etc.), looked presentable, and no hideous deformities. What I'm getting at is this female could accurately be described as "normal" (you can't always say the same for the males).
how much would it cost to get a train to blackpool?
If you enjoy the hobby, stay the course, and have fun with it. Remember to wave and smile at the train crews - I brag to my co-workers every time a nice looking girl waves to my train. :-)
Is there a lantern signal for " come back for pin " ? Or just " come to me ( F or R ) and washout ?
I am one!! I have learned that it is more of a "boy's club" thought. You would think it would be a good way to pick up a guy. I am more into the steam locomotive and passenger trains. It's a fairly new hobby for me, but I am enjoying getting to know more and more about trains. I can understand your feeling like an outcast. I thought I was the only female railfan out there!More Questions & Answers ...
