Which type of control(ler) is easier to operate/more efficient. Cineston or simple "T"-shaped lever?

Question:
Most elevated/subway trains use two types of control(er)s, either a Cineston or what's called a master control(the lever). I'm curious as to which is easier to operate and which is more efficient.

Answers:

Has the train times changed from Sunday Bathgate to Edinburgh?

i know what you mean by t-shape, but i'm not sure what the other one is. if it's the one on old streetcars and some subways, that's the one i always use, and i find it pretty easy.

I need some help with trains?

t shape is easier and smaller out of the way for me
