Is AMTRAK one continuous ride, or does it make stops?

East to west is an overnight ride, and I suspect the same west to east, so while it is possible to make stops, the area you will be travelling through (I believe its the Cardinal), is lower west virginia and not a lot of passenger traffic comes from there.

Why still today Kolkata-Dhaka direct passenger train not yet introduced.What's the problem?
