r It has been my experience that drivers have no idea what to do with a yield sign and invariably ignore it, as is becoming the case with stop signs. I can't imagine anything that could be so important that you can't take a minute or two to stop when required. I disagree whole heartedly with your idea.Is it legal to park your car right across the street of a residential driveway?
In some places with less traffic it IS a yeild, not a stop. 4 way stops are put into place because of heavy traffic.Probably due to the fact that people tend to expect the other person to yield to them. Our town only had 1 stop light and about 10 stop signs, but we've had to increase the stop signs due to out of towners passing through that did not yield and caused some bad accidents.

Most accidents are at intersections. The only reason more people aren't killed in them is that they are low speed because they have to stop. You wanna replace stop signs with yield signs so people can blow through the intersection at full speed?Does any body know of any sitres for taking practice drivers and road sign test?
