Who would sign a petition?

Question:
on the no 10 website to legalise dark visors during daylight hours for motorcyclists?
They are a damn sight safer to wear than a clear visor when the sun is out and there is a lot of glare. And also safer than sunglasses, if you have a crash the last thing you want is broken glass and wire frames less than an inch from your eyes.
If enough people sign, will it make a difference?

Taxis in Toronto has yellow light at back with msg - "if flashing, pls call 911"... what does it mean?

Yes Mick, put me down too. Whether it will make a difference or not, we will just have to try. You're absolutely right about the specs. That's why I wore a dark visor in the long summer days commuting to work.

Whats the difference between overtaking a learner driver and a horse?

Even though I no longer live in the UK and I'm very regrettably about to get rid of my ride (a TL1000 on e-bay if anyone is interested), I remember clearly on more than one occasion my safety being threatened by one of those horrible early morning sun-blinding moments when the rising sun caught the morning dew. It had nothing to do with excessive speed either, as the suits might claim - if you can't see where you're going, even if you're trickling along, being hit by a car coming the other way is pretty bad news .

How do u know wat a mile is when u r driving?

The govt. use purely arbritary anecdotal false logic to support their stupidity, which goes like this: If it gets dark, you can't see where you're going.

Why is there brail on the buttons of driveup atm's?

Bollox. On the couple of occasions when I've got caught out with a black visor after dark, I have simply flicked the visor up and slowed right down to go easy on the eyes. In fact I had never ridden as carefully before or since. It's called taking responsibility for your own actions Mr Blair, which is something we don't see much of from you. You war-mongering c*nt.

Why aren't school buses required to have seat belts?

The French, Germans, Spanish and Italians all have night time too. They have fog and mist and morning dew as well. But their governments see the value in allowing those who ride the bikes to decide which visor to use and when - not some soft, spotty private-sector dropout in Whitehall who shits his pants just looking at a bike.

Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge?

So my dark visor won't be sold with the bike. Once I'm back in the UK, please forgive me if I put my own safety before the ill-informed mediocrity of thought of the Labour govt.

Plz give me a site name where i can find road accidents &their safety to get the information for exam urgentl

I better get back to work before my head explodes.!

Would you like the sign better if it was flourescent pink and a hexagon instead?

Safe going everyone.

Ok people, I need some help here....?

I wasnt aware there WAS any problem with DARK visors in daylight hours.. (irridium Visors excluded)

Can anyone survive without a mobile phone.idiots driving on phone should be locked up?

Mind you, just like the
'Loud Pipes Save Lives' Campain,
Sadly i dont think it would change much,
Look at the petition against the tax per mile currently
running, Teflon Tony just ignores it.

Why polce office don't give u a ticket in a car accident when no one was injured?

Yes,I would definitely sign a petition to legalise dark visors during daylight hours.I understand exactly what you say regarding glare from the sun.As an ex-motorcyclist myself I think a change in the law is necessary.Unfortunately, the people who make the laws in the first place very rarely have any relevant experience on the subject, and haven't got a clue what they are talking about.
Were it not for the fact that I'm too ill to ride bikes anymore, then I'd be roaring off into the sunrise with my tinted visor and you wouldn't see me for dust! Meanwhile, best of luck from one Mick B. to another.

Why do people like to see how dangerous they can pass people while driving?

Yep , put me down for that i'l sign it !!

Anyone else annoyed my new bright headlights on cars?

Hello Mick,
I would happily sign said petition, as I use a dark "bubble visor" , almost black, in strong sunlight, on my motot bike.
The cheap clear ones are as dodgy as smoking a pipe in an old car. Whoops.. ! There it goes down my wind-pipe !
Or imagine a cigar shoved into the nether regeons during a "head on" !
I therefore stick to a perspex thing, tinted, as per the profesional riders of very fast machines.
Oh, the none-vision of sun-glasses in the eyeballs fills me with dread.
Where do I sign ?
Bob.

Any suggestions on theft prevention/car prowl prevention?

I signed the road pricing petition so yes I will sign the sun visor one.
I think it is a silly law brought out by beaurocrats who think they know what is best for us and know nothing about the real world.
What a crazy situation that you can drive with sunglasses but not a tinted visor.

What is the U.S. airline that has the best food in economy class?

I remeber reading somewhere when the law came out that they thought a lot of accidents were happening because people could not see where they were going. What a load of rubbish, would you drive if you couldn't see?
