My son is learning to drive, is girlfriend is coming over from USA in April if he as not passed is driving test by then can is girlfriend supervise him if she has an American driving licence she is (24)

I is dad have supervised him in the normal way whilst learning to drive but car she do the same.

Out of interest, even if she could supervise do you think it would be a good idea? Most Americans could not pass the UK "L" test without taking lessons themselves (this is true, I work as a driving examiner)

This is the reason that American citizens cannot exchange their licence for a UK one, because their standard of training & testing is so much lower than ours.
