Question:
Are dark or tinted visors still illegal on motorcycle helmets? If so what is the difference, safety wise between a tinted visor and Johnny drug dealer in his BMW with the dark window film on?

Despite a lot of lobbying from the motorcycle industry on safety grounds, dark visors remain illegal. see link below. It is almost certain that similar laws restrict what you can do to darken car windscreens. However, It is highly likely that Johnny drug dealer has as much contempt for the highway code as he does for the UK's drugs laws, so expecting him to obey it is fruitless. Hopefully one day, his dark windscreen will stop him from seeing a large brick wall at high speed and he will do us all a big favour by dying and ******* off to hell.
You can wear shades as dark as you like because you can take them off easily if the light changes for the worse. Stupidly, this also applies to motorcycles, which shows you how bereft our driving laws are of logic.
Is it illegal in ontario to drive with a broken windshield?
yesIs it legal for me to ride an electric stand up scooter in SF?
They're only legal during daylight hours. Like tinted windscreens even during the day they still have to let so much light through.Do airbags in automobiles implode or explode?
yes they are still illegal. visirs are there to protect your eyes from the elements during riding but if its at night, if you got a tinted visor its very hard to see the road and objects around you and the chances of a fatal crash increase compared to a standard visor. especially when its raining hard at night and you have to use your visor.always think hard before getting a tinted visor for your helmet. is it worth risking the life of yourself and others just to look good?
Tinted visors are legal as long as there is a BS mark. However, black visors and eridium are illegal but I find an eridium visor is the safest to wear in low winter sun and black visors are safer on sunny days. There is no difference between johnny drug dealer and a black visor only its harder to deal drugs on a bike!! and the law states that any a car can have tinted windows all around except the windscreen.
A car coming toward you flashes its headlights. What does it mean?

Maxima se 2000 front end shaky after hit pathhold is safe to drive one more day.?
Yes i think they are, after dusk. Best to carry a clear one with youso you can change over. Also worth mentioning, if you are involved in an accident even if it's not your fault the Police will be none too impressed if you have dark visor on.Remember don't give them any excuses. Take care...
Are there any truck driving jobs that except past accidents and suspensions?
Dark visors are the Biz!! They are NOT illegal during daylight hours. However, they ARE a danger in the dark. I never ride in the dark with my darkest visor on. You have to plan whether or not you will be back home before light fails. You could do what I do if I'm not sure. I take my clear visor with me. Its only seconds to swop and you get the best of both worlds. It is not illegal to ride during daylight hours...but use common sense when its cloudy. There is a 'darkness' rating on visors and some ARE illegal whatever the time of day. Rule of thumb is, if you bought from a reputable dealer, chances are ..its legal .
Can u import a rx-7 to the us?
Dark visors are only legal in daylight.Tinted ones depend on the amount of tint,as long as a certain amount of light gets in then they are legal.Dark window tint on the front door windows are illegal and the police can make you remove it.Why aren't seat belt catches located at the door side rather than the middle of the car?
Yes they are illegal, depends on where you live as to whether or not you will get away with it.If my airbag deploys while I am wearing glasses will my eyes be subject to greater injury?
I have used black & iridium visors for years in London & South East, if you go out into the sticks then the "county mounties" have less work to do & are more likely to be analy retentive over things like this.
Why are there no seatbelts on school buses?
As a compromise consider a Schuberth helmet, it has a built in black visor behind the eye sheild. This IS legal as the legislation only covers eye protection, as the inner visor isn't providing protection it is legal to use. (also very nice & quiet helmets)

Incidentally black window film is illegal if used on the front windows of a car.
yes they're illegal but only during the night and on darker days, your best best is to get a clip-on tint for your visor that way if the fuzz do think you cant see properly you can watch the ticket get ripped up when you unclip it (im sure when pc pratt realises you got him he'll do you for a loud exhaust or summat though instead lol)
