Help with car seats my car seat does not fit snug in the rear seat what can i do ?

The seat is meant to fit all cars and the seat shape has no bearing on the safety. As long as you have threaded the seat belt through and secured the clamps properly the seat is fine.

Usually the problem is that the back seat is at too sharp of an angle for the carseat to wedge itself in correctly. What you can do to fix it is use a rolled up towel to put in the corner under the car seat to eliminate some of that angle and then your car seat should fit in better. Just make sure that it doesnt rock side to side and that the leveler on the car seat is in the proper range.

Someone else recommended a rolled up towel under the seat. This should ONLY be done for a REAR FACING seat to get the angle right. In front facing seats, try centering the car seat as much as possible then put your knee in it with some weight behind it when you tighten the seat belt/L.A.T.C.H. system. To check to see if it's in tight enough, grasp the frame of the seat with two hands (one on each side) where the seat belt goes through and try to move it. It should not move more than an inch either way. If it moves more, it's not tight enough.
