Are 15 seat vans difficult to drive?

I am planning a trip with 15 high school students from my school to the burbs of Chicago (my home town) and need to rent a van to move them around. I read that 15 seat vans are dangerous to drive. Has anyone had experience with these?

It's easier to drive than you would think. I drove one several years ago and there is really nothing to it. Yeah parking is a pain, and the gas and brake are less responsive, but it isn't that bad

I drive one for work all thet ime. I work at a group home, and I have never had a problem with them. Its just like driving a bigger suv. You have to hit the brakes sooner, hit the gas a little harder, take wider turns.

no but my cousin has. almost crashed and lost his life. it really all comes down to who's driving it, but yes, a 15 seater van is more dangerous than a regular car or SUV. not only is the car itself pretty unsafe, but imagine 15 people kicking and yelling behind you, too. the combination isnt pretty. its deadly.

No it is not .But you have to understand that it is longer,wider and heavier than your car.So you have to be more care full when driving and especially when turning. You need to give more space.It doesn't pickup like a car,doesn't stop as quickly.can't do a sharp turn.After the first 15 mints you will be okay
