Surburban road width for heavy vehicles?
Yeah I agree with you they should not use cell phones while they are driving.Under average driving conditions how long will new tires lasts?
You can argue that prohibiting cell phone use unfairly focuses on a single unhealthy habit--discriminating against those who use cell-phones while ignoring people who do other stupid stuff while driving like eat fast food, change their clothes, put on make-up, etc.Make speaking in the class about who is better car or bus for travilling and why??
You can also mention the necessity to use a cell phone in an emergency.
Does ne1 know a program that is trying to stop people talking on their cell phones while driving?

Is it true speed cameras have to be callibrated every day?
There are actually many points that could be made about not using a cell phone while driving even if it's a hand free Unit.Is the Cosatto Go Safe Baby car seat a good one to have?
For starters just the mere fact that a person has to take there full attention away from the road to dial a number is a distraction. I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I've almost been side swiped or someone has inadvertently swerved into my lane because of dialing or texting or whatever they may be doing on there phone while driving. Now if a person has a phone that can dial on voice activation that's not so bad, or is it?
When should I use Cruise control?
I personally have been caring a cell phone since they were in a bag and was never without one until I went to the Philippines for 4 years, I was so excited about not having to have one of those burdensome contraptions anymore. But eventually broke down and got one there too, if nothing more than a safety issue.
When and where was the first Automobile Fatality?
I think like most of us we first got cell phone because it was new tech, it was trendy yada, yada, yada. In 1992 when my business partner and I opened our own business the cell phone became a very necessary and useful tool.
Well anyway now that I'm retired, I do still carry a cell phone, but I use a prepaid where my unused min roll over. I spend maybe $20 USD every 3 months or so to load min. Once again the phone has become just an issue of safety for me. I rarely will answer calls while driving and if I'm in a situation where my full attention is needed on the road I won’t answer or call anyone period, mind you both of my vehicles have wireless communication with my phone with voice dial and all the bells whistles. But for me it's really useless. I don't have anything important enough or consider myself important enough to take my attention away from driving. It's just too dangerous. Now days I get really tickled when I see these people walking in the malls or at a restaurant or whatever with what looks like a key fob stuck in there ear. I understand that the cell phone is a useful tool for us, especially for those who earn money with a phone, but for the everyday person? Do we really think we are so important that we have to have a phone permanently attached to our heads?
Is it illegal in ontario to drive with a broken windshield?
I personally am against banning cell phone use in cars moving or not. Hands free or not, for me it's just one more law that the government enacts to protect us from our own stupidity! Like seatbelt and helmet laws. Regretfully our stupidity can hurt others. We as a group just need to use common sense, there is a time and place for everything, but traveling down the road at 60 plus miles an hour is not the time to be yapping or dialing the phone. No life is worth that phone call.

What Do You Do To Ensure Your Safety In Life and In Others?
I'm sure someone will have an argument against what I have to say, but over the last few weeks, when I have noticed people driving very slowly or drifting between lanes etc, about 50% of the time, they were using cell phones. I had one guy completely cut me off at an intersection, and he was on the phone. I have noticed similar driving with people who are putting on make-up/looking at maps/dealing with children in the back seat etc. I have even caught MYSELF driving un-safely due to being distracted by my cell. It's a hard call to make, b/c where do you draw the line? If you make cell phone talking while driving illegal, it only seems fair to make putting on make-up illegal as well. Of course, this is just 1 opinion.Oh, one last thing - on Mythbusters, they put this to the test, and found that driving while talking can be as dangerous as driving while intoxicated. Take this as you will. : - )
