Question:
no car stops for school buses with the stop sign open. is that against the law? is it important to stop?
Answers:
What does AAA offer that is not offered through my insurer's emergency road service?
Genrally yes. If the bus is in operation and the flashing lights are on, the bus is stopped, and the sign is out you should not pass the bus in either direction. There are a few exceptions to this rule with stuff like 4 lane roads in certain states, but better to err on the side of caution and stop the car. When a novice driver is able to steer a stright course an instructor should ensure that they?
yes it is against the law!Don't lorry drivers drive you mad when they pull out in front of you ?
Yes, it is against the law.Can I work with forklift in england with foreign country licence?
I go by this rule of thumb: Don't move your car when a stopped school bus is within a mile radius of you.I've stopped looking at my speedo because it distracts me. Is this a good idea?
Seriously, you could splatter a little kid. That would not be cool. Plus, the bus drivers yell at you. They're very protective.
if the school buses red lights are flashing you are required
to stop IN BOTH DIRECTIONS as there will be a pedestrian
crossing front of the bus, mostly like with the bus operators
assistance..(or crossing guard)
if you don't stop and there police car around you will
get a very expensive ticket failure to yield to a school bus
and in California thats one way to lose your license!
plus you could ended hitting a child (which has happened)
May have to travel by car in snow/ice?? No ice guards for tires!?
Oh my God. Did you actually ask this question. Yes, it is against the law in any state to pass a school bus with the stop sign out.the law states that all vehicles must stop when next to, behind, or in front of a school bus that has it's stop arm out, with the exception of being on the opposite side of a divided highway.
