Okay, So I got my first speeding ticket, if I go to court and the cop doesn't show up thus resulting in me not having to pay the ticket, will it go on my insurance record? Of course, Im trying to avoid the folks finding out. My insurance was recently renewed in November. Will it increase before my six months is up? If the munciple doesnt show up and I ultimately dont have to pay it will they ever find out?

I passed my driving test a month ago and...?

This is just one reason that you should always go to court to fight it. at the very least, the judge might (usually) drop the points and make you pay the fine. In this case, the insurance co. doesn't find out about that either. <g>

If you live in a large city he will be there. Courts today are linked to the officer's schedule. Many Police Departments set several days of an officers schedule aside for trial work and the courts will set your hearing for that date. If you are in a small City he may not show, but- because its small his schedue may be loose and he can make it.
