Child endangerment?

Question:
Can you be cited in California for child endangerment if you're driving over 80 MPH with a child in the car? (I was traveling and saw a car driving like it was in Nascar with two carseats in it, so please don't lecture me about car safety)

I would think so in some cases. If the road is pretty open and theyre in one lane probably not a huge deal but if there weaving in and out of traffic with kids then yes. Also, another thing these drivers are missing is God forbid theres something in the middle of the road acusing you to swerve or crash.

That is a dangerous speed for kids regardless of the state. People are so stupid...maybe they need a wake up call and see that the decisions they make can hurt others. I am just sad my two evil step kids wasn't in that car...LOL just kiddin!

in some states, 15 miles over the limit is considered reckless operation. if the kids were properly secured, maybe not...but it definately shows they dont have very good judgement going that fast.
