If a car is dropped out of an airplane at an altitude of 20,000 feet; what would be the end result?

Question:
Would the car be completely destroyed on impact; or would it suffer minor cosmetic damage- and could be driven away.

Answers:

Why do people insist on speeding on the freeway?

You must be joking.

Do you know a vehicle on four wheels that is allowed to be driven without having a driving licence?

There wouldn't be enough left of that car to recognize it as a car.

How do you feel about drivers on hand held cell phones?

it would be ok
i think it will bounce back 20,000 ft

Where can i find a seat belt button cover?

it would blow up!

Can a cop pull you over for suspicion?

20,000 feet would have a terminal velocity at normal air pressure of 167.5 mph! What do you think would happen if a car hit something at that speed? It would not be able to be driven away!

Why are most road salt storage buildings shaped like Hershey's Kisses?

There would be nothing left to it! The biggest size left would probably be the size of your fist!!

Learning to drive! I forgot what comes first when you stop?

You can't say the terminal velocity without knowing which car and whats in it. Just a full tank of gas chages terminal velocity by changing the ratio of weight to friction.

If you are in a car and a live wire falls across it should you stay in the car or get out?

But... the impact will be greater than 100 mph and its unlikely to land on its wheels. So the result is going to be a smashed car.

Did u pass your written test for driving the 1st time?

there's probably no difference if you drop it from 5000 ft or 20,000 ft.

Rear-ended on highway by motorcycle, hazards failed?

Assuming the car has no parachute, it would depend on what it landed on and how. In theory, the car could land in such a way that it would just roll and bounce and be fine. It could just as easily pancake into a pile of pieces and/or explode. We are also assuming that the car actually falls 20000 feet; not dropped onto Mt. Everest or anything funny like that.

Airbags in cars.do they ...?

Imagine a head on collision at 80 mph+. The vehicle would sustain the same amount of damage. 2 cars at 80+ = 1 car at 160+. Just with the inertia of the impact, the rear bumper would be the only part left as recognizable creating such a boom at impact, every insurance salesman in the state would cringe.

I live on a road with alot of deer I need something on my truck to scare them away?

It would be seriously broken

Is there a website that will give me info on traffic trends at a certain time of day on a particular freeway?

You certainly would not use THAT car to go MORE booze with fella!
