Question:
First of all, I must admit I am a cautious person. I would rather be safe than take risks. On the highway, I usually drive around 60mph, and never exceed 70mph.
Despite the precautions, I always feel nervous, insecure driving on the highway. I guess part of reason is because I read too many articles on newspaper regarding car accidents. I feel like, "If I make one small mistake on the highway, I am dead." and that causes fears.
Those reasons make me drive with pressure, not comfort and ease.
How can I drive on the highway with more comfort and ease when any given car can easily speed at 80mph? How can I stop fearing the possibility of car accidents?

you just have to watch out for the stupid drivers and remember that semi's own the roadwell Ive been driving most of my life and i have seen some terrible things on the highway over the years.the first thing is when the time comes when your in an accident believe its the last second before you realize anything is going on.now I'm a very safe driver but ive learned that if you are up tight your chances of been in an accident is higher then been relaxed behind.the trick is when your on the highway ,is to focus on the cars a half mile ahead of you cause every thing runs in a chain of command once they stop everything stops with it.as well as focusing whats around you and behind you just in cause anything ahead happens.as well turn the radio loud for a little bit ,it helps the brain to relax ,which causes you to relax a little better.hopefully this helps you out ,good look on the driving.
