Is there a law in washington state, saying you have to be 12 to sit in a car with airbags?

First offense, pay for all damages out of their own pocket, 6 months without a license. Now in some countries, the first offense is your last because they put the offender in front of a firing squad. Second offense, SR22 insurance at a rate of about $1000 per month after getting their license back, no driving privileges for a year, same cost requirements as for the first time, and classes to learn how to drive all over again, with the drivers test being done on a high speed track with a lot of obstacles to avoid. If these people think they can drink and drive, then the most difficult of vehicle handling tests should be part of getting their license back. If they fail, they go back to the beginning. All of this would be at their own expense. Yes, the test would be designed such that failure is routine. No one made them drink, if they can't be more responsible than what they were, they don't need to be on the road.

The punishment should be the same whether or not they hit somebody/something. The important thing is that they were driving drunk, out of control, and very well could've gotten someone killed. I think that ALL drunk drivers should have their licenses suspended permanently. Drunks are idiots. Drunk drivers are idiots who need to be restrained. If you do it once, a fine is not going to stop you from doing it again, and eventually you WILL hurt someone.
