No. Blind people who get someone to drive them to an ATM who may not want anyone else to know their pin number. They can punch in their own number if the keypad has braille. Also, many blind people are independent and take para-transit (for handicapped and challenged people) to do their banking. Again they can take care of their own transaction instead of trusting the driver.

Not everyone who uses Braille is completely blind.But, the answer I was told when I asked a friend who services ATMs is..The keys on Atm machines are mass produced as is everything now a days the companies that make these machines buy in big quantities so it is cheaper to put them on the machines.

I wondered this myself a few years ago and about a week later I saw a cab pull up to the machine and stop with the back passenger window at the atm and a blind person was using it (It was very obvious as I was in the car behind) so I guess the real answers should be for convenience just because you are blind doesn't mean you shouldn't have life easier.

Most all A.T.M. machines are built for outside the Bank as a walk-up. so they designed them to be used at either at walk-up or drive-through so they only have to do set up for assembly one time.the more operations you have the more the cost
