to alert someone of something example..... if you are located on the black spot of the driver on the other lane and he begins changing lanes.... you horn then he knows you are there and he can return to his lane

If you think horns are only good for fueling road rage, get under the hood and disconnect yours. Problem solved.

Its mainly to give other drivers around you a heads up that you are there. It is also for saying hi to other people but it must be used with caustion since people around you could think you are honking at them and will get angry.
