Sorry, the well researched stats do not support that. Teenage vehicle accidents and death due to accidents have significantly been reduced here in California since the restrictive laws have been put into place.

It isn't that teens don't know the risk and the right thing to do. It is just that most value peer opinions better than common sense and doing the right thing so they are more likely to take dangerous risks while driving.

I would like to find the site against it. I, too, have seen the research to prove that the younger drivers are a higher risk than even the elderly(in my state). And to prove that, my wife got hit by a 16 year old driving illegally(not allowed to have anyone under 21 with a 16 year old driver, she had 3 friends all age 16) that ran a red light while talking on a cell phone.
