Question:
I am looking for a comfortable and not expensive carseat for my child. Last time we used our old one and my child got sick in it. Perhaps it was not very comfortable even though it was from Mamas and Papas. Which brand could you reccommend and which type of seats. We do not use it very often as we have not got a car but only when we rent it.
Does any one retail an audible alarm to say you are over a speed limit?
Many thanks!

Check points, do you think the excuse is the real reason? Seat belts r the reason of the day today.?
Seats vary by country, so it's difficult to recommend specific models. However, children should remain rear facing as long as possible. If you are in Europe you are in luck because you have access to the best rear facing seats on the planet. In Sweden children rear face to 55 lbs or so (around 5-6 years old.) I would recommend trying one of those models to see which fits your child best.In the US look for seats with a RF weight limit of 33-35 lbs.

I'm assuming you're in the UK. It's been a few years since I've been there, so I'm a little out of the loop with the new seats.
You're probably aware that the carseat law has changed, so you'll need to keep your little one in a carseat, even in a taxi, until age 12 or so..
Is there a safer way to wear a seat belt while pregnant?
I would consider either Maxi-Cosi or Britax seats. Just looking at the pictures on mothercare, the Britax Renaissance looks like a really nice seat with it's side wings for side impact protection.
What age can your child be taken out of a car seat in the state of Wa?
Whichever seat you choose, you'll want to ensure that you keep your little one in a harnessed seat until he/she is atleast 4 and 40 lbs/18kgs.
Make sure you read the manual, and also have your seat checked to ensure that it is installed correctly - try http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/advice/i... to find someone local.
As for type of seat, as long as your child is BOTH over 12 months and over 20 pounds, you can use a high back booster seat WITH harness. This seat should last you until the child is old enough and big enough to remove the harness straps and use it as a seat belt positioning booster seat.
As for the brand, there are many out there that range in price and comfort features. Some that come to mind off the top of my head are Evenflo and Graco. You may just have to shop around and have your child sit in it to see if he/she seems to be comfortable in it. A lot of the car seat companies are now using more padding and, in some cases, memory foam. They also have all type of features such as arm rests, cup holders and some even have little lights in the head rests so older children can read or look at picture books. If your child got sick in the last one, could it have been maybe that he/she isn't used to being in a car much? A lot of kids, though, get car sick pretty easily.
Learning to drive! I forgot what comes first when you stop?
Call your local police department to see if there are any programs in your area that give away or sell seats at a discounted price. They can also point you to a certified car seat tech who can make sure your child is properly fitted in the seat.
