CRICTAL INCIDENT triggers PTSD?

Question:
i'm a trucker and have seen everything, just about.
i was ran into by a 4 wheeler,he ran a stop sign and ran under my trailer,i was loaded with a 40,000 lbs steel coil.
i was mortified of having to go back and see what had happened,i feared a ghastly scene, fortunately the driver survived.
i have exhausted myself for ten years avoiding situations and accidents and i just dont feel that my dilligence and awareness will be enough to avoid a diasaster in the future.
my company wants me to go back to work, the insurance company wants me to settle a claim,my trailer was totaled.
i'm likely to suffer financial loss if i dont go back to work,if not worse.
i was at no fault in this accident, however had circumstances varied only slightly it would have been a deadly situation for me and deadly for oncoming motorist, etc
i fear losing control of situational awareness.
can any one help me with answers

New automobiles are going to have 'black box' like technology installed in them?

remember one thing-it was an accident-meaning it wasn't planned.situational awarness can't and won't stop everything, but it damn sure helps.as a desert storm vet(usmc)everyone on gaurd w/night vision goggles couldn't stop artillery.and we're both still on these damn computers.KEEP ON TRUCKIN' 'THEY GOT US SURROUNDED---POOR BASTARDS!!"

I take my driving test on friday.?

see a councilor or therapist,it may help
i had a motor cycle slam into the side of my trailer and the driver walked away, dont dwell on what could of happened, just be thankful it didnt.you are probably more aware of situations now and even a safer driver,i know it has made me much more aware of situations around me and have not had another incident in over 20 yrs
good luck

how to develope my new ideas?

The main thing to remember is the driver survived! Accidents happen. I also drive truck and have been for over 24 years. I have also been involved with fire and ems services for over 34 years. Sometimes the healing process takes more time for some people. You must have liked to drive or you wouldn't have been doing it for 10 years. Get your damages setteled and decide what's in your future. If you're unsure what to do start back slow. Maybe local or regional where you can go home and relax after work. Use your experience in the possitive. Driver education classes would love to hear of your experiences. You may make the difference of how a young driver operates their vehicle.
