Indeed - but it's good that they do - thus leaving space on the forecourt for those of us who have sussed out the mystery of the far-reaching hose.Because I am a girly and I do not have the strength to pull the darn thing around the car, and it doesn't fit over the top of the car 'cos I've got a 7 seater.

They dont all reach over to the other side of the car !Only the newer pump`s have the hoses that reach and the majority of driver`s will of tried this over the years and will simply be going off memory that they do not reach !
Plus added to that the fact that the hose scratches the paintwork when it comes over the roof , I think i will just continue to annoy people waiting for the pump that is the same side as my fuel cap !

What do you mean, the hose reaches? I've seen it reach when other drivers do it, but on the one occasion I tried I had the embarrassment of me trying to stretch it, it not reaching - I tried over the boot, over the roof, - then having to drive off & queue up again. I also watched another woman do this once! Anyway, it's probably about half & half if petrol caps are on the driver's side or the passenger's side. So it doesn't matter.More Questions & Answers ...
