You will need to file an appeal with the agency that sent you the notice. Hopefully, you can appeal in writing and provide as much documentation as you can that you were not there on the date of the violation. They key is the vehicle desciption on the ticket versus what the DMV will have for your vehicle. If the officer wrote down FORD and your vehicle is a DODGE, then you stand a good chance of getting it excused.
