Have you ever been in a serious auto accident?
If you only have the 2 seats, it's not illegal.Do you think that states should require senior citizens to take a driving test after a certain age?
You'll want to make sure you deactivate the airbag if you have one (most newer trucks have some sort of deactivation switch or key) and install the carseat as securely as you can.
Be sure to read the manual of your carseat, and also have your carseat checked by a certified carseat technician (check safekids.org for one nearby).
When a motor vehicle hits a pedestrian, why does the pedestrian always fly out of their shoes?
Sorry, I don't know about CA, but in SC, the rule is this: if it's possible to put the seat in the back, then you MUST put the seat in the back. If it's not possible, then it can go in the front. Look into disabling the airbag if you have them.Car accident. can i still drive ?
If you only have two seats, you can legally use the front passenger side. Deactivate the airbag if you have one though.Because you only have 2 seats you can put her in the front seat with you. To make it as safe as possible: disable the airbag (if there is one), follow the directions of your vehicle and car seat manual carefully and keep your 2 year old rear facing if she is still within the weight/height limits of her seat - if she is less than 33-35 pounds but does not fit in her current seat rear-facing consider purchasing a seat that will allow her to rear face as long as possible (an often recommended great buy is the Cosco Scenera that rear faces to 35 pounds and is only about $40).
