Question:
I used to have a booster seat that would be perfect for my son now but I cant find anything like it. My son will nto stay in his seat that uses a seatbelt. He either unbuckles or just climbs out of the seatbelt. I had one awhile back that had a padded lap bar. It would swing outward and snap shut once the kid was in it. They make baby carseat like that with the over the head lap bar but I cant find anything that would have something like that for over 40lbs. I have tried all the major chain stores. Does anyone have any idea where this might be carried? I dont recall the name of the brand, but I need one badly!! Thanks. Oh, and my son is 2.

They don't make the style you are talking about anymore for children over 40 lbs.I had the same problem with my son when he migrated to a booster seat. Teh first thing to do is to make the seat as comfortable as possible. Find out why he keeps wanting to get out of the seatbelt. I had to keep adjusting his until he didn't want to get out anymore. That and warming his behind up a few degrees seemed to work nicely. He's 4 now and loves his seat.

Since most states now require these by law, any store that sells child seats should also have the booster seats. Try Sears, Walmart, K-Mart, Target, possibly Home Depot and Lowes and if you are in Canada, make Canadian Tire your first stop.Hve you tried Kid r us. You can check them on line.Check overstock, ebay, K-mart,sears,jcpenneys. You can check all of these on line.
