Question:
We live at the foot of a mountain in Juneau Alaska. Our driveway is one tenth of a mile long, and is a 45 degree angel. We have parking at the bottom for the car, but getting down has been horrible. First snow, then rain, then lots of ice. I would appreciate some ideas. Thanks.

Why do people drive slow in the left passing lane?
dont use the brakes it will only cause a slide. put the car in a low gear (first or second) ond that will slow the car without causing a slidelightly apply the brakes before going downhill put the car in second (yes even an automatic) and it has never failed me. when you put it in second the engine;s idol goes slower so you can proceed slow...note: you can never go over 30 in second. so take it out of second before reaching maxium speed. Never use it going up hill.
