Question:
Some of my relatives are German and they always say that Japanese cars get more easily damaged than German cars when there are accidents. I just attribute these comments to German patriotism for their own cars or Japan bashing. I personally don't particularly notice more badly damaged Japanese cars when I see highway accidents, but out of curiosity was wondering if there is any truth to this? Maybe its because Japanese cars are more driven in big cities and big cities have more severe accidents? Any car experts have any ideas? I couldn't imagine that the Japanese car industry would use cheaper materials than European cars, especially Lexus.

Three point turn or turn in the road?
Well... check your history about German engineering... they did after all build the Panzer ! Japanese cars are not as "tinny" as they once were... times change and so do coats of armour !What are the statistics for people getting hit by buses?
it really depends on the accident and what you hitWhat are some jobs that require a driving record?
In some cases Japanese cars are made with thinner steel etc, especially economy cars like civics etc. If your talking about cars with an equivalent starting price I'd say the Japanese cars are typically just as stout as the german competition. Also most smaller cars have to be designed to crumple to reduce the impact force on your body by letting the car give way, somethings got to take the force and better the car than you.Junk

Are your German relatives engineers? It's their opinion and nothing else.More Questions & Answers ...
