Question:
I'm planning on heading to lake tahoe for the weekend and i was wondering on how to prepare for the trip. I have a 2001 Honda Accord, so basically having a four-wheel-drive vehicle is out of the question! Just wondering what else to bring besides chains for the trip?

Is it illegal to drive on the interstate with a dog in the back of a truck?
now that your turnk, back seat, and passenger seat are almost full of good survival gear...LOL buy a map and read it before you go. up in the mountains you cell might be out of range so i recommend a GPS unit. they are down to about $100. also most important! stay with the car!!!!! it is shelter. i also resomend "space blankets" they are very warm and take up almost no space. before you get up in the muntains, fill up the tank. the farther out you are, the greater distance from gas stations. and if the road gets bad, turn around.well, i live in the area of tahoe, so. what you do is get some food and water/supplies in your car. and on the way to tahoe, their will be places you can buy chains. make sure your car's heater is working.

uh, if you are not experienced at driving in snowy conditions, you need to stay home. Do you not hear all these people getting lost in the snow and they can't find them until they are dead? How many car seat anchors/ tethers does an Envoy have?
Take your cell phone charger (the car plug in) with you. Also candles. I read that one candle on in the car changes a 32 degree freezing temperature to 52 degrees!! And matches of course. A blanket for each person and a couple gallons of drinking water and some trail mix and low-salt crackers. The article I read also said to keep a mirror in the car to attract rescue workers in case of an emergency (to reflect sunshine and attract attention)Those are your basics.
Q03 Could this happen in an organisation producing safety-critical software ?
THAT'S O.K. THOUGH YOU'VE STILL GOT FRONT WHEEL DRIVE. JUST TAKE A DUFFEL BAG AND PLACE THE FOLLOWING IN IT; FOLDED UP WARM BLANKET,(EVERYBODY SHOULD HAVE ONE). SLEEPING BAG'S ARE NICE BUT IN A SMALL CAR KIND OF HARD TO GET INTO. CANDLES ONES THAT ARE IN A GLASS CONTAINER. CHARGED CELL PHONE, ROAD FLARES/SOMETHING THAT WILL BRING ATTENTION TO PASSER-BYERS.SOME NONPERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS,WATER/GALLON JUG,FIRST-AID KIT,GPS/MAP,A UNOPENED BOTTLE OF ALCOHOL(IT'LL WARM YOU IF YOU'VE GOT TO WALK),EXTRA WARM CLOTHING,FLASHLIGHT(THE ONE YOU JUST HAVE TO SHAKE)NO BATTERIES NEEDED. PLACE A FOLDABLE SNOWSHOVEL IN THE TRUNK. ALONG WITH A BAG OF KITTY LITTER IT'LL GIVE YOU MORE TRACTION IF YOU DO GET STUCK AND ARE SPINNING ON ICE BESIDES THAT IT 'LL PUT SOME WEIGHT ON THE BACK HALF. AND IF YOU DON'T SMOKE YOU'LL NEED A LIGHTER TOO. YOU CAN ALSO GET A FLOURESCENT FLAG TO PLACE ON YOUR ANTENNA IF YOU END UP STUCK ON THE ROAD SIDE. IT'S LIKE A SIGNAL FOR SNOWPLOWS,'THAT HEY THERE'S A CAR HERE ALMOST BURIED. YOU MAY WANT TO PLACE A SMALL CAN OF GAS IN TRUNK JUST IN CASE SO YOU CAN RUN CAR FROM TIME TO TIME FOR HEAT JUST MAKE SURE YOUR TAILPIPE AREA IS KEPT CLEAR OF SNOW. YOU COULD GET CARBON MONOXIDE POISONED IF IT'S PLUGGED OR NOT VENTED WELL. BE SAFE, TAKE YOUR TIME AND HAVE A GREAT TRIP.KIA Sportage - I don't know how to use the 4WD...?
Make sure your car is in good condition/ transmission is up to par. Other than that, I'd also see to it that the heater works well.More Questions & Answers ...
