did not pass my driving test...?

Yes. make sure you stick with the ALL Terrain and NOT the Mud Terrrain as the Mud Terrain tires are USUALLY alot softer and wear faster!

why are the phone signs for long loads etc etc on the other side of the level crossings?

:)

scalehouse/inspection stations/IH 37 or 77 Texas roads?

My husband is a tire tester he says that they are good but do better if you use them for off roading not just because you like them. Try buying a tire from Continental if you want one that looks good and works well.

Is it the law that infents are to ride in the back seat?

yes if you've got snow & need traction or you're going to the mountains for a retreat but it's not ideal for daily commution as the vibration will drive you nuts from a flat road, especiaaly for extended periods of time at high speeds. there are other options see a local goodyear firestone dealer

When is it considered to be tailgating?

Sure no problem with that just beware that depending on the tires certain performances may decrease. For instance gas mileage, cornering and possibly braking in certain areas of driving.

Whos fault is it when a car parked on the street suddenly opens his door and I crushed his door?

Yes, it is ok to mount all terrain tires on a two wheel drive. You will notice much less hydroplaning with an aggressive tread pattern and they do look cool. However they do not handle corners as well as an all-season and are quite a bit noisier. As far as longer lasting, the depth of the tread gives you an edge but generally the rubber is softer than regular tires so it is pretty much even on that score. By the way, check with the tire salesperson to make certain the height of the mudder is equal to you stock tire so your speedometer isn't off. They should have a chart listing the exact specs on all their stuff.
